Vinyasa Flow

At Westside Yoga Studio, our Vinyasa Flow class is an invigorating and dynamic experience designed to challenge both body and mind. Led by experienced instructors, this class features an energetic flowing sequence of postures that seamlessly integrate breath and movement. We begin with a focus on breath awareness, setting the foundation for the practice and establishing a steady rhythm. As the class progresses, we move through a series of challenging poses, aimed at building strength, flexibility, and endurance. Expect to engage in heat-building movements that elevate the heart rate and awaken the entire body. The flow of the class is dynamic and fluid, allowing practitioners to move with grace and intention from one pose to the next. Transitions are emphasized, encouraging students to maintain mindfulness and presence throughout the practice. In addition to the dynamic sequences, our Vinyasa Flow class incorporates deep stretches to release tension and improve flexibility. These moments of pause within the flow provide opportunities for practitioners to explore their edge and deepen their practice.

Beginner Flow

All levels class, a great place to start your Yoga practice. Awaken the body and progress through a moderate sequence, with options for modifications to accommodate all levels This will be a basic flow with gentle transitions between postures/poses. The practice stretches and strengthens the body as well as focuses and calming the mind. Feel free to explore and move at your own pace. Beginner Flow, tailored for those who are new to yoga or looking to revisit the fundamentals. Through accessible sequences and guided breathwork, you'll gradually build strength, flexibility, and body awareness while cultivating a sense of calm and relaxation. Whether you're easing into your yoga journey or seeking a gentle practice to unwind, our Beginner Flow class provides the perfect opportunity to lay the groundwork for a lifelong yoga practice.

Candlelight Yin

Candlelight Yin, relax and breathe by candlelit ambience! This class is restorative in nature, returning the body to a natural state of vitality, and harmony. The movements will be gentle and meditative. Holding Asanas/Poses for longer periods. Allowing the body, to relax deeper into the poses, giving space for the body to release stress and tension. Usually props such as bolster, straps and blankets are used to help support the body for deeper holds and relaxation.  Ensuring you find a balance between effort and ease as you settle into stillness.

Vin & Yin

Experience the perfect balance of dynamic energy and deep stretches in our Vin & Yin Yoga class. This unique session seamlessly integrates the invigorating principles of Vinyasa (Vin) with the grounding and meditative aspects of Yin Yoga. The first 20 minutes will begin with warm up of Sun salutations, engaging and flowing into a sequence of poses. Each pose will synchronize breath with movement to build strength and flexibility. The Vin portion activates the muscles, generating warmth and vitality. Dropping into the Yin part of the session, we explore deep stretches and longer-held poses designed to target the connective tissues and enhance joint mobility. Feel the gentle stretch as you enhance flexibility, nourish your joints, and promote a blissful balance of energy throughout your body. Each pose is a meditative pause, inviting stillness, mindfulness, and a rejuvenating connection with your inner self.

Slow Flow

A slower and gentler paced all levels class. Slow flow allows each person to move at a comfortable pace. Can include a gentle warm up and stretches to open and relax the body. Embracing the essence of gentleness, this practice allows each participant to move at their own comfortable pace, fostering a sense of mindfulness and self-awareness. Whether you're seeking to enhance flexibility, reduce stress, or simply enjoy a soothing yoga experience, our Slow Flow class invites practitioners of all ages and levels. Props will be used to accommodate or allow for more depth in a pose.

Power Flow

This is intermediate class. Power flow is Vinyasa inspired flow. If you are a Yogi that craves a challenging Yoga class, then this is the class for you. This a deep moving mediation sequenced class Asanas can be held up to 5 breaths, expected to be challenged. The Flow will include Sun salutations, advanced postures including binds, balancing poses, inversions, standing poses, and shoulder balances. Breath is linked to the pose, and you will progressively move deeper into your practice.
Level 1

Yoga Sculpt

Yin & Sound

Yin Yoga with the therapeutic power of sound and aromatherapy. In this session, you'll experience the healing benefits of Yin Yoga, a practice that focuses on holding passive yoga poses for an extended period, allowing deep relaxation and release of tension in the body. Through gentle stretches and mindful breathing, you'll cultivate a sense of inner calm and connection. As the Yin Yoga segment draws to a close, prepare to sink even deeper into relaxation during savasana. We'll enhance this tranquil state with the soothing scent of aromatherapy, and you'll be immersed in the healing vibrations of sound therapy. Let the harmonious sounds of singing bowls wash over you, further enhancing your state of relaxation and promoting a sense of inner harmony.
