Helpful tips for your first class
-
Arrive at least 10-15 minutes before class. Classes begin and end at the posted time on the schedule out of respect for the teacher and as well as the other students. The studio doors are locked during class time as a precaution. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter.
-
Bring a yoga mat.
-
You are welcome to bring water into the practice space in a container with a lid.
-
Dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Practice is done without shoes or socks
-
Cell phones are prohibited in the practice space.
-
Avoid eating or drinking anything but water an hour before class
-
Please let the instructor know if there are any physical challenges that may influence your practice.
-
Stay until the end of class. Yoga is a holistic practice. Exercise increases heart rate and blood pressure, and brings blood flow away from organs to skeletal muscles. Relaxation brings heart rate and blood pressure back to normal and returns blood flow to the organs. Final relaxation and integration bring deep healing, balance and equilibrium.
-
Remember, there is no competition or judgment in Yoga, and your practice changes from day to day.
